What is a Whiplash Injury and can I make a claim?

Whiplash is often described as a soft tissue injury in that it affects the muscles and ligaments in the neck. It can happen as the result of various "whiplash" injuries such as tripping, sports injuries or assaults. Generally the term is associated with car accident claims.

Whiplash can cause:

Restriction of movement
Pain
Stiffness
Muscles spasms
Pain in the shoulders

Pins and needles
Dizzyness
Nausea
Lethargy

The pain caused after the accident can develop over a couple of days and might not be immediately obvious.
